Delightful Mother’s Day Gift Basket

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

My wife and I have 2 small children, and I have already given her a charm bracelet with their names on it, so I was looking for a new gift idea. The kids are too small to really make gifts, and I know they can always do that in the future as they get older. I need something for this year. I went through the usual new clothes, new purse, perfume ideas, but it’s too hard to get it right. You know how exasperated women can be when you screw it up! I need something fool-proof. A woman co-worker (an “expert” on women) suggested a gift basket. I thought “that’s it!” Yes, I’ll send her a gift basket that will surprise her and make her happy!

This turned out to be so easy I almost couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of it sooner…I guess I don’t think like a woman! Anyway, Christmas time my company sent me a gourmet Christmas basket that was really, really nice. It had things in it we could all enjoy, so I decided to see what I could order from that same company. Turns out they had quite a few gift baskets she would like. After reading the descriptions I decided I couldn’t loose with a basket called “Mother’s Day Delights“. It allows you to choose a bottle of wine from four options…that way I can choose one of her favorite bottles, it includes a chocolate rose, Angelina’s Sweet Butter Cookies, dark chocolate and toffee wafers, key lime white chocolate cookies and many more things she’ll love. I don’t have to wrap anything, and she’ll love the way it’s packaged. My frugal wife can reuse the basket. I really scored with this gift!

You may have noticed that a number of popular customs are followed during the entire Easter season.  You will come across a number of carnivals, plays and dramas being organized during this time.  Among many customs, giving gifts to friends and loved ones is something which is observed year after year without fail.  Instead of hunting for single gifts and going from one shop to another shop, would it not be wise to settle for Easter baskets containing such Easter gifts which will be loved by the recipient?  Your thoughtfulness too will come into play here. The Brazilian Raintree Comes Straight from the Rainforest of Brazil

Friday, December 18th, 2009

The Brazilian Raintree indoor bonsai tree, or the pithecellobium tortum, has a very delicate appearance, yet it is actually quite hardy and is very easy to grow and care for. If you’re a new bonsai grower, the Brazilian Raintree is a good choice to start with. This hardwood tree comes from the rainforests of Brazil, where it has lived for years. The Brazilian Raintree has small, light green compound leaves. These interesting leaves actually fold up during the night or when the bonsai is placed in low light, and then they unfurl in the morning. It’s somewhat unusual for a bonsai, which is why the Brazilian Raintree is so popular. (more…)

So Why Buy a Personalized Gift?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

It can be difficult to find the right gift for anyone. This is especially true for folks that are not your closest friends. While most people appreciate the charitable thought with gift giving, a poorly chosen gift can leave anyone rolling their eyes. This is why personalized gift giving is becoming very popular. Personalized gifts get at the most important reason behind gift giving – showing someone you know that you care. Other reasons behind gift giving, that you want to offer thanks, good wishes and make them feel good are all dramatically increased by giving personalized gifts.

When it comes to how a gift gets personalized, there are several common methods which largely depend on the material of which the gift is created. For example, many items with hard surfaces like glass beer mugs or stainless steel money clips may be engraved. But other items like tote bags would be embroidered. A few items might be laminated and others printed. AS you can see there are many different ways to personalize a gift. The important thing for you to remember, however, is just how special you’ll make someone feel when they get their personalized gift.

Elegant Sterling Silver Boxer Pin Pendant Design

Monday, June 1st, 2009

This special and elegant sterling silver boxer pin pendant is one of the best representations of the breed I’ve seen. Maybe it’s the un-cropped ears that I find so appealing. I’m not able to put my finger on what exactly moves me so much with this lovely piece of jewelry; all I know is  that it’s one of my very favorite pieces. Of course, my family has had boxers as pets for a number of years, and we all know how endearing they are (if a little slobbery!) Just look at that face – irresistible! (more…)
