I’m Getting a Crabapple Bonsai for Mother’s Day
It might still be cold outside but I know that it won’t be all that long before the air starts to warm up and the snow starts to melt and the ground thaws. As much as I really don’t like the winter, without it I’d miss one of the greatest pleasures in my life which is the first day I see this year’s crop of flowers sending their first shoots out of the ground. Even thinking of it I can smell the wet earth and feel the warming sun on my back, even though there will still be a bite in the air. Every year I get myself something to celebrate but this year I’ve decided to buy myself a special present – I’m getting a crabapple bonsai tree for Mother’s Day.
I can’t remember if this flowering outdoor bonsai will be in bloom still or if its wonderfully fragrant and pink-tinged white flowers will have already surrendered their spot to the shiny new leaves. I’ve always wanted a crabapple bonsai tree and I dropped some rather broad hints last year. This year I’ll make darned sure my wishes materialize and I’ll order it online myself.
