Revitalize with Outdoor and Garden Décor
If you get the decorating bug, but feel like you can’t afford to revitalize your interior space, you might want to consider adding creative elements to your yard. There’s an amazing amount of affordable outdoor décor items on the market. And, big box retailers aren’t your only alternative for finding stores that sell outdoor décor items. Most towns and cities have small lawn and garden businesses, and they are increasingly adding outdoor décor items to their inventory. However, one of the best places to shop for these items is online. Just log onto your computer and you’ll find plenty of boutique online stores with a healthy supply of everything from hammocks to sundials to romantic gazebos.
For our affordable outdoor makeover, we ordered more than half of our items online. We focused on garden décor. Our purchases included a decorative bronze sundial, several window box planters, two dragonfly whirligigs, a cedar potting bench, a statue of St. Francis of Assisi, a few decorative stones and plaques and an old locomotive bell. I also bought two patio umbrellas on sale a local discount store. In the end, we spent about $250 to beautify our yard and gardens. Yet, they look like a million dollars.
