I had never heard of a post cap until my mother-in-laws recent visit to our home. I was telling her about how I hated the way our fence looked and wished there was a way to revive it that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. When she suggested I look at a post cap I’m sure she got a deer-in-the-headlights look from me! She immediately sat me down in front of the computer and took me to one of her favorite outdoor product stores and showed me pictures.

Duh. So I looked through all the choices and found some very nice wooden ones that ended up working out great. I also found a wonderful pineapple finial that I bought as well to go on top of the cap. I collect pineapples because they are a very traditional way to welcome people into your home and I love that! I am so pleased with the way my fence now looks and my husband was pleased at how easy they both were to install. My mother-in-law came through again and I must say I love her for that!
